Privacy Policy

Short version: We collect the minimum to run your account and build your automations. We never sell your data. We never see your card number. We never store your API keys.

1. Who we are

Ascent Automations ("we," "us"). We build AI automations for businesses. Questions? Email hello.ascentautomations@gmail.com.

2. What we collect

Your name, email, and profile picture — from Google when you sign in.
Messages you send us in the dashboard chat, including any files you attach.
Feedback you submit (bugs / ideas), and the email you optionally include.
Automation details we create for you (name, status, fees).
Payment records — that you paid, how much, and when. We never see or store your full card number — Stripe handles that.
Basic technical info your browser sends (the page, browser type) when you submit feedback, so we can fix bugs more effectively.
Aggregate site-visit analytics (which pages get visited, roughly how many people). We hash your IP address and browser together with the calendar day before storing it, so it can't be linked back to you and can't be tracked across days — we never store your raw IP.

3. What we do NOT collect

We do not store your API keys, passwords, or tokens. Your automation runs on your own account and your keys stay there.
We do not store credit card numbers. Stripe does that.

4. How we use your information

To run your account and dashboard.
To build, set up, and maintain your automations.
To message you and email you about your account (new messages, "your automation is ready," payment receipts).
To process payments.
To fix bugs and improve the product.

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone. Ever.

5. Who we share it with

We use these companies to run the service. Each gets only what it needs:

Google — sign-in (name, email, profile picture).
Stripe — payments. Stripe stores your card, not us.
Railway — our database host (your account + messages).
Vercel — our website host (and stores chat file attachments).
Resend — sends our emails to you.
Cal.com — booking your calls (name, email, chosen time).

That's the complete list. We don't share your data with anyone else unless the law requires it.

6. Cookies

We use one kind of cookie: a sign-in cookie that keeps you logged in. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

7. How long we keep your data

As long as your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete your data — except records we're legally required to keep, like payment history for tax purposes.

8. Your rights

See your data — it's in your dashboard. Ask us for anything else.
Delete your account — from your Profile tab, anytime (if you have no unpaid bills).
Ask us questions — email hello.ascentautomations@gmail.com.

9. Security

We use HTTPS everywhere, encrypt data in transit, and limit who can access it. No system is perfectly secure, but we follow current best practices.

10. Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top and, for big changes, tell you by email.
