Terms of Service

Effective: June 25, 2026

Short version: We build automations for you and set them up on your own account. You pay a one-time build fee and an optional monthly maintenance fee. Your accounts and keys stay yours. Cancel maintenance anytime.

1. What this is

By using Ascent Automations, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use it.

2. What we do

You tell us a task you want automated.
We build the automation.
On a setup call, we help you deploy it onto your own account. It runs on your infrastructure, not ours.
Your API keys go into your own account — never into ours.
We optionally maintain it for a monthly fee.

3. Your account

You sign in with Google. You're responsible for keeping your Google account secure.
You must give accurate information.

4. Payments

Build fee — a one-time charge for building your automation, paid through Stripe.
Maintenance — an optional monthly subscription through Stripe. It auto-renews every month until you cancel.
You can see all your invoices and receipts in the "Manage billing" portal.

Refunds:

Changed your mind:Cancel up to 1 day before your project's deadline → full refund of the build fee.
30-day guarantee:You have 30 days after we finish building to tell us if something's broken, has major problems in real use, or doesn't meet what we agreed → your choice: a full refund, or we fix it free. Request a fix anytime from your dashboard chat. With an active maintenance plan, that free-fix guarantee never expires.
Monthly maintenance:Cancel anytime; it stays active until the end of the month you already paid for, then stops — we don't charge you again. The current month isn't refunded since the automation was running that month.

5. Your responsibilities

You own the hosting and the API keys. You're responsible for your own accounts, your own API usage, and any costs those services (like OpenAI, etc.) charge you directly.
You won't use our service for anything illegal.

6. What we provide and what we don't

We build your automation to do what we agree on the call.
We don't guarantee specific business results (e.g. "X more sales"). Automations depend on the tools they connect to, which can change.
If a service your automation relies on changes and breaks it, maintenance covers fixing it. Without maintenance, fixes are billed separately.

7. Deleting your account

You can delete your account anytime from your Profile — as long as you have no unpaid build fees or active maintenance. To cancel an active plan first, message us in chat.

8. Acceptable use

Don't try to break, overload, or abuse the service, and don't use it to harm others.

9. The service is provided "as is"

We work hard to keep it running, but we can't promise it will never have downtime or bugs. We provide it "as is."

10. Limit of our responsibility

To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or unexpected losses (like lost profits). Our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us in the last 3 months.

11. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update the date and tell you about big changes by email.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA.
